The show that changed television. All In The Family didn’t hold back when it came to depicting the bigoted Archie Bunker. Some say the show ended television’s innocence. Regardless, All In The Family quickly became a classic tv show. It was nominated for 55 Emmys and won 22. It also inspired the spin-offs Maude, The Jeffersons, and Good Times.

M*A*S*H

This medical comedy sitcom changed the way war was portrayed onscreen. It brought lightheartedness to a topic that had weighed so heavily on people’s minds. MAS*H took place at a mobile army surgical hospital during the Korean War. It followed Army surgeons as they tried to save lives while maintaining their own sanity.

The Golden Girls

It doesn’t get better than watching the antics of four mature single women sharing a house in Miami. The witty banter between the women quickly solidified The Golden Girls spot in classic tv show history. The show was nominated for 68 Emmys and won 11. Most importantly, the show gifted fans with Hollywood icon, Betty White.

I Love Lucy

And the number one rated classic television show is… I Love Lucy. The show premiered in 1951 and America quickly fell in love. The show followed Lucy Ricardo as she tried (and almost always failed) to help her Cuban bandleader husband, Ricky Ricardo. Her beloved shenanigans always guaranteed a laugh from fans.
